On January 26, 2020, a major athlete by the name of Kobe Bryant was killed, along with his daughter and 7 other people aboard a helicopter. They were passing over California on the way to a basketball game that Kobe’s daughter, Gianna, 13 years old, was supposed to play in. Sadly, her and the other passengers never made it. They have not yet released details of the identity of other passengers. For now, we know that Gianna’s teammate and her parents were also on the flight to Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks, Calif. Many fans laid flowers and lit candles, even the gym had a hand-written “Closed” sign on it. Many are saddened by this tragic event. Prayers go out to Bryant’s family and for the other passengers aboard the helicopter. The accident is still under investigation and they are still searching debris to see why it happened and to see who else was aboard when the helicopter took it’s fatal dive into the California brush.
