With all the protest that has been going on some people are now taking everything out on police. The reason for the hostility towards the police is because of the shootings that have happened. This would lead to a woman who got pulled over to have a racist outbreak against a cop.

Hostility towards cops would rear its ugly head when a cop would pull over a woman who was using her cellphone while she was driving during a traffic stop. The cop who has been working for the county for 14 years would tell Bill Melugin that he wore a department-issued bodycam and a personal one he bought to help protect him from false allegations made by the woman. The reason for this is because the public is still trying to demonize the police following the death of George Floyd.

As the cop started to walk towards the woman’s car, she would start to record him and the reason for this is because the woman would say, “I started to record because you’re a murderer.” The officer would calmly tell her that she can’t be on her phone while she drives. When the cop asks the woman for her identification she would say, “It’s at my apartment, and I am perfectly legal and I am a teacher.” This interaction between this woman and the cop would take a racist turn when the woman says that the cop is a “Mexican racist.” The bodycam would catch the woman saying, “You are always going to be a Mexican,” she is also heard saying. “You will never be White. You know that, right?” Melugin would say that this is a great example of the animosity that cops encounter as they deal with everything on the streets.

LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva would tell FOX News that he was appalled by the video, but commended his deputy for staying professional during the exchange. Villanueva would say, “She claims to be a teacher. I’m not so sure where she is teaching… but if she represents her profession, is that an indictment on her profession and the caliber of people?” Villanueva would talk about how you will have one incident like the shooting of George Floyd and after that everyone would want to label all the police as bad people. The LA County Sheriff’s department would tell FOX News that the woman would call internal affairs and filed a harassment complaint against the deputy immediately after the incident. The department would also say that the woman has a history of making false allegations against cops.
