Dyer County topped Obion Central in their 2022 District Tournament semi-finals to advance into the tournament championship. The Choctaws out  scored the Rebels 7-1 in the game. Lane Evans toed the rubber for the Choctaws, allowing 7 hits, and 1 run to go along with the 4 walks and 9 strike outs through 7 for the Union Commit. On the other hand Chandler Yates took the hill for the Rebels, allowing 8 hits, 7 runs, 2 walk, and tossed 3 strike outs for the Rebels. Austin Epperson led the way for the Choctaws in the batters box, having 2 hits in 4 plate appearances. The Choctaws will now advance to take on the winner of the Obion-Dyersburg game that will be taking place in the losers bracket semi finals game. The winner of the Rebels-Trojans game will advance the the district championship as well s the regional tournament along with the Choctaws.
