Halloween is just around the corner and will be here before we know it. Here are some stress-free, inexpensive costume ideas that will all be trending this year. A simple, yet iconic costume idea is dressing as the cover of Olivia Rodrigo’s album Sour. You would need a tank top, a plaid skirt, jewelry, and face stickers. An idea for a guy could be Arthur, from the popular children’s television show. A yellow sweater, red shoes, and glasses could easily complete this outfit. Winnie the Pooh is an effortless, unisex costume idea. All you would need is a red shirt with either a yellow skirt or pants. You could even pair this costume with a hat or headband if you wanted. Lastly, one of the most simple costumes is a white sheet with two eye holes: a ghost!

If you are in need of a costume for two, Sandy and Danny from the movie Grease would be a simple outfit, requiring black clothing from head-to-toe for both characters and red shoes and/or lipstick for the girl. Cher and Dionne from the 90s movie Clueless would be an easy outfit, only needing a plaid shirt and skirt. Tiana and Prince Naveen from The Princess and the Frog would be an iconic and worry free costume: a yellow dress or top with an apron for Tiana, and a sweater vest with a tie for Naveen. Fire and ice makes for one of the most effortless duo costumes, with one person in all red, and the other in all blue.

In need of a trending group costume? Dress as the cast of Stranger Things! Some members could dress in their 80s best, some in a “Scoops Ahoy” uniform, and one with a nose bleed to play Eleven. Mario Kart characters make an even easier costume, with “players” wearing bright colored shirts with their initial/logo on them. Needing an all-girl costume? Wear velour tracksuits and become the Cheetah Girls. A super-simple group costume is M&Ms, where every group member picks a different color shirt and tapes, glues, or pins the letter “M” to it.

Any of these costumes are sure to make this year’s Halloween fun and worry-free!
