Taylor Swift announces ‘Eras Tour’ for 2023
November 7, 2022
After four years of not being on tour, Taylor Swift has officially announced her U.S. stadiums ‘Eras Tour’ for the year of 2023. International tour dates are yet to be announced, but are promised to come as soon as possible. Taylor Swift’s release of her newest album Midnights has sent the world into a frenzy. The album consists of songs created throughout many years (and many eras) during late night hours. The registration for the presale announcement opened November 1, 2022 on Ticketmaster and will be open through November 9, 2022. On the night of November 14, everyone who registered will receive an email informing them of whether they get an access code for presale or not. The presale for those people will be opened at 10AM November 15, and will close at 10PM on November 17. Although, there is another way to participate in the presale, even if you are not a lucky code holder. If you have a Capital One credit or debit card, you can use the six digit code found on the card to be able to join the presale ticket battle. However, those people will not be able to access it until 2PM on November 15 (the closing time is the same.)
The biggest draw to this tour (other than it being Taylor Swift) is the fact that the tour is not focused around a single album of hers. Rather, it features music from every era she has been through over the course of her career. Taylor Swift has been releasing albums since 2006 and her discography includes her 10 original albums: Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, reputation, Lover, folklore, evermore, and Midnights. Re-recordings have also been released of Fearless and Red within the past two years and Taylor’s Version has been added onto the titles. She will also be bringing along many special guests which will open for her at various shows, depending on the location. The lineup includes Paramore, Haim, Phoebe Bridgers, Beabadoobee, Girl in Red, Muna, Gayle, Gracie Abrams, and Owenn. So, whether you’re a Swift fan or not, there’s no denying the influence she has over current day media. For all my Swifties, mark your calendars and get ready.
