Chrisley’s Sentencing and Affair
December 6, 2022
Julie and Todd Chrisley have been sentenced to a total of 19 years in prison. Todd will have to serve 12 years and Julie will have 7 years to serve in federal prison. They are known for their reality television show “Chrisley Knows Best”. The show has been on the air since 2014 and a spin-off of the older kids was made last year. The couple has three kids together and had full custody of one of their grandchildren Chloe. Not only do they have to serve this time in prison, but they also have to give up their two mansions in the Nashville area. Also, their show was canceled, which was to be expected.
Julie and Todd were accused of more than $30 million dollars in fraudulent loans. Todd claimed that in a year, the family probably spent over $300,000 on just clothing. In 2009, Todd told the IRS that he didn’t have the money to pay his tax bill. This was the beginning of all of the drama. Todd failed to file timely tax returns or pay income tax from 2013 through 2016. Todd once said that even though he makes millions of dollars a year, he still has the same issues as a family making only $40,000 a year. The reputation of this family and its values are being torn down by all of this.
Upon all of this, there is another rumor that Todd had an affair with his former business partner Mark Braddock. Mark told the court that the two had started something in the early 2000s but broke it off. Both males were married during their affair. However, their wives have decided to stick by them so far. This was one of the last things that ruined Todd’s image. Not only did he commit all of this fraud, but had an affair with a man who reportedly helped get them in trouble with the law.
The Chrisley’s lives have been forever changed. Todd’s mother is old, and with him going to prison, he might miss important lasts she will get to experience. Their youngest son is 16 and is a great baseball player. Their son Chase just got engaged a few weeks ago and their daughter Savannah is a great influencer with many brands. They often said their granddaughter, Chloe, was “the apple of their eye.” They got custody of her from a young age. They will be missing the prime years of her life. Todd and Julie plan to appeal their convictions, as they have not confessed to doing this. However, I am sure there is plenty of evidence of their fraud. I am excited to see what will happen next in their lives.
