Willis Reed passes away at 80.

On March 21, 2023, former NBA Hall of Fame inductee Willis Reed passed away at the age of eighty. Knicknamed “The Captain”, Willis Reed was drafted by the New York Knicks in the second round of the 1964 NBA Draft. He was a 6’10 center and power forward that graduated from Grambling State University. Reed’s career lasted ten years and he was seen as one of the greatest players in NBA history. For his career, he averaged 19 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 assists a game. His resume included being a seven-time All-Star, two-time NBA champion, two-time NBA Finals MVP, five-time All-NBA selection, 1964-65 All-Rookie team, 1969-70 All-Defensive team, 1969-70 All-Star MVP, 1969-70 MVP, and selected to the NBA Hall of Fame and 75th Anniversary team.
