Earlier in August, Popeye’s introduced a new chicken sandwich, but all of a sudden, some of the attention to Popeye’s was taken when Chic Fil A decided to come out with macaroni and cheese, a classic side dish everyone will enjoy. This item is Chic Fil A’s first permanent side addition to its menu since 2016. Unlike other fast-food companies, Chick Fil A is not too keen on adding new items onto the menu. “We have a very high bar when it comes to adding a menu item, but the feedback from our customers in the test markets made this decision easy,” Amanda Norris, Chick-fil-A’s head of menu and packaging, said in a statement. 

Chick Fil A has always been “home of the chicken sandwich.” So what made them decide to turn to a completely non-related chicken item like macaroni and cheese? I am certainly not complaining. I decided to go try it out myself. I can say I definitely was not let down. According to Chick Fil A, their recipe features a special blend of cheeses including cheddar, parmesan and Romano and is baked in-restaurant daily for a homemade taste. You can get it as a side dish for any lunch/dinner meal, kid’s meal, or in a catering order. If you are a big fan of mac and cheese, I suggest you go try it. You will not be disappointed.
