Gas Station Encounters

Gas Station Encounters

The Medina Road Marathon Gas station in Ohio gained popularity after twenty-four-year-old Brandon Shue exposed shoplifters from his surveillance camera on his social media platforms. Shue was extremely exhausted from random civilians stealing mechanizes from his family-owned gas station since 1980 and having cops do nothing about the situation. In an interview with Shue, he states, “A lot of people will straight-up lie to you.” Even after the store’s owner, Brandon Shue, calls them out on their pity attempt to get away with little things such as gum or candy bars; these small-time crooks still get caught up in their lies. The YouTube channel, GasStation Encounters, posted its very first video revealing how a man stole an ice cream sandwich. Brandon Shue adds an interesting cheeky narration to every video though for this video in particular he adds a parody of Vanilla Ice’s single, “Ice Ice Baby.” Although the channel’s main focus is to reveal thefts to the public by embarrassing them, the channel posts non-theft-related content. This included the time when a man dressed as Jim Carry’s character The Grinch as well as another civilian dressing as Piccolo from “Dragon Ball Z” In a Radio interview, Shue states,“ One of the main parts of my job at the gas station is to make sure people don’t steal.” This reveals how passionate Brandon is about having basic moral rights and making sure justice continues to be served by these law-breaking criminals. The channel gained popularity throughout the years giving the channel 2.0 million followers with only 265 videos. With such popularity, the YouTube channel, GasStation Encounters, has collaborated with popular celebrities such as Machine Gun Kelly (Rapper), Chris Brown (R&B singer), and Andy Milonkis (TV actor). Brandon Shue reveals that justice will always come back to someone who intentionally doesn’t want to do the right thing.
