Not too long after the Lady Choctaws TSSAA State Tournament run, Dyer County senior Haleigh Caviness will begin her after high school career for the Bethel University Wildcats. Caviness spent four years in the Dyer County basketball program where she was a member of the 1000 point club. Caviness was also named the district 13AAA MVP as well as the Region 7AAA tournament MVP.

Caviness spoke about her signing, “I feel pretty good. I feel it was the right decision. I had two sports to choose from, but I feel pretty good that I chose the right thing. I feel like I couldn’t live without basketball. It’s my passion. I’ve just always loved the game. It was just the right choice.”
