Tennessee played Tennessee Tech on April 12th, 2022. Nobody was expecting for Tech to beat the number one team in the nation but somehow they managed to pull through with the win. Both teams didn’t play at their fullest, with each team having 1 error. Tennessee out hit Tech 6 to 4 but Tech got the right hits at the right moments. Tennessee took the lead early in the game and held onto it until Tech came back and hit the g ahead bomb to give them the lead. Tech just outhit Tennessee for the 3-2 win. The teams only get to play each once so Tennessee couldn’t get them back for the loss but Tennessee is now 31-2 and still the number one team in the league.
