Change in the SEC

Change in the SEC

The SEC(South Eastern Conference) was created in 1933. It started off with just these 10 teams Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt. Since then there has been four new schools added since then. The first of those two teams was added in 1991 those schools were Arkansas and South Carolina. Then the other two were added in 2012 which were Missouri and Texas A&M. Now they are about to add two New teams in 2024. The schools they are adding are Texas and Oklahoma. The SEC is doing this only for a league Payout. ( SEC gets more money.)

Although The SEC is getting more money a lot of SEC school fanbases are not happy but there are some people who are really happy. This is about sports, The sports in the SEC are known to be the best all around the country. Some fans are scared their team will get beat of that them adding these schools is dumb because Texas and Oklahoma aren’t even in the southeast. Even though some fans are mad some of those are happy Here is why, there will be really good matchups in sports will be fun because it is two other consistent good sports teams like a lot of the rest of the SEC.

As you can see there are some mixed emotions about these two new schools joining the SEC. It will be a big change for the South Eastern Conference. Make sure to look out for the new good sports rivalry matchups.
