One thing that has come in fast is bows and we are seeing it on dresses! Big bows on the back of dresses as well as the front of dresses are gonna be super popular for prom 2024. Sherri Hill, Jovnai, Jonathan Cane, and Rachell Allan are just a few of designers who are producing dresses for prom featuring bows. Bows are super on trend for this prom and will be a popular style.
Ruffles used to be big in the prom dress industry and we are now seeing them reappear. Many girls are going for ruffle/poofy dresses instead of the previously popular form fitting dresses. Ruffles and poofy dresses are created by almost every dress designer and we will see a much higher amount of poofy dresses for prom 2024.
Sequins and beaded dresses are also going to be a hit for prom 2024. Sherri Hill and Jovani have both come out with beaded dresses that will supposedly be very popular this prom season. While beaded dresses are a newer style we will also be seeing dresses with sequins. Sequin dresses have been popular for many years now and it is projected that they will still be a hit this year. Some dresses have even been designed with both sequins and beads to create a new style dress that will also be popular for prom 2024.
In 2023, we saw the rise of satin mini, maxi, and full length dresses. These satin dresses became very popular for casual wear and designers are now making satin prom dresses. This new trend will be very popular for prom 2024 and you can purchase these dresses through Sherri Hill, Jovanni, and Rachel Allan.
Another style that is super big right now is metallic dresses. Metallic dresses are being highly advertised on social media and are a big hit in dress stores. We saw metallic dresses during 2023 prom and will most likely be seeing more during prom 2024.
Strapless pieces as well as unique neck lines are a big trend right now. We have seen these in everyday wear and will now be seeing these in prom dresses as well. Many designers have come out with strapless, one shoulder, and abstract necklines. This will be a very popular style dress for prom 2024.
