The sun was shining in my eyes
Those words were full of lies
I couldn’t help myself
It was a counterpart twelve
I usually would get a book off the shelf
But this time I didn’t
Something was off about your words
It would hit me like a curve, it was odd, yes
Maybe I’m thinking too hard about it
My words didn’t quite fit
Upon further inspection
I couldn’t find any connection
That night when you arrived home
You walked to the bedroom to be alone
I walked in and you seemed worried
I asked why
But you turned away in fury
I asked you what I had done
You respond back with teary eyes
Tears streamed down her face as she turned to look at me
I fear that I have hurt you in some way
I say I’m sorry but it was a lie, unsure why
Do you not remember what you did to me?
No, I say with a confused look
She looked shook
You have taken my body and distorted it
I will never be at ease
It hit me then, what she was saying
I wasn’t talking to anyone
But her dead body
