Dear mom,
I always hugged you like a sock
It felt like you never held secrets from me
But sometimes it felt like there was a wall between
You and me
When you weren’t there, it always
Seemed like chaos
I would itch when I needed you
I feel so compressed like a sweater
When you’re not there
The pen you hold on me always permitting me from
Going on expeditions
It keeps me tied like a ribbon
But sometimes I wish to ne free from this grasp
Like a cloud
You always are proud of me
But I know you have it rough, I love you and all
But I feel like the problem sometimes
You always wanted to make me like you but better
But I want to be my own person
I love you, so thank you for taking care of me
Thank you for being there for me when I was being abused
Thank you for treating me like I am human too
Thank you momma, for I will always love you no matter what
Thank you mom.
