Cyberpunk 2077; Breathtaking or Big Disappointment?

Unless you live outside of the realm of the internet, you have probably heard of the game developed by CD Projekt Red- Cyberpunk 2077. It was a game that has been long anticipated, especially since its release date was delayed. It was finally released on December 10th.

“Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour, and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset, and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.”

Many had great expectations when it came to this game, but some were very disappointed when it actually came down to it. My personal opinion is that while the game is fun and well made, it has many bugs and is somewhat underwhelming compared to the hype it received.

I’m not the only one harboring this opinion though, because one quick trip through Twitter will show you that many people also share this thought.

One resonating thought I’ve heard though it “You can’t rush a game studio to release a game, but then complain when it’s bugged.”

Overall, the game is enjoyable, but I can safely say it hasn’t made it into my top 5 video game list.
