Demaryius Thomas Death

Demaryius Thomas was a famous wide receiver who played the majority of his career with Peyton Manning on the Denver Broncos. Thomas was Manning’s favorite target for the majority of the time Manning and Thomas spent together. The receiver has a six foot three frame and was drafted in the first round of the 2010 draft by the Broncos. He spent his college career at the University of Georgia Tech, and played in a Yellow Jacket uniform for four years. In his four years there he recorded 120 receptions for 2,339 yards and 15 touchdowns. Thomas was a highly thought of draft pick in the 2010 draft and was a great fit for the Broncos offense. Manning utilized Thomas as a number 1 target and would target Thomas often during the duration of the games. Whenever the Broncos were in a bind, you could always find Manning look in the direction of Demaryius Thomas. Now players all throughout the league are paying tribute to the receiver by putting stickers on their helmets that include Thomas’ number 88. The week following his death was an emotional roller coaster for former teammates and teams throughout the entire league. The Broncos opened out their Sunday game with only 10 players on the field, all positions but Thomas’, and took a delay of game. The lions declined the penalty as an act of respect for the ex Broncos receiver. Thomas passed away due to medical complications in his Roswell, Georgia home. Thomas was born on December 25, 2987, and sadly passed away on December 9, 2021. Thomas was just 33 years old.
