FaZe have finally announced the signing of former MOUZ superstar Robin “ropz” Kool, a transfer that has been in the works of the rumor mills for close to a month now. The signing comes after months of the superstar being reportedly linked to receiving various offers from multiple organizations. Ropz has been reported to replace Olof “Olofmeister” Kajbjer on the active roster, marking the Swede’s fifth move to the bench and the inactive roster since 2018. This news comes less than a week after MOUZ announced the Estonian’s departure, ending a four and a half year stint with the German organization. At the time of his departure, ropz still had a few months remaining on his contract of which he had originally signed with the German organization, hinting already at a potential transfer.

This move will see the 22-year old rifler reunited with former captain Finn “karrigan” Andersen, continuing a partnership that saw MOUZ take the last months of 2019 by storm. FaZe hope to turn a new leaf with the signing of ropz, after a disappointing 2021. 2021 marked the first time the organization has gone titleless since 2016. Alongside this the team failed to reach playoffs at the 2021 PGL Stockholm Major. Ropz originally joined MOUZ in 2017 after being scouted in the FACEIT Pro League circuit. He quickly impressed analysts and fans alike with his great performances on LAN.

During his time with the German organization, ropz held an impressive 1.15 average rating as well as helping the team claim nine trophies. In addition, ropz also earned an MVP award at ESL Pro League Season 10. He has found himself featured in 19th, 11th, and 7th in HLTV.org’s Top 20 player rankings between 2018-2020. Despite being only 22 years old, ropz is considered to be a veteran of the scene already. FaZe’s active roster currently stands at: Håvard “rain” Nygaard, Helvijs “broky” Saukants, Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken, Finn “karrigan” Andersen, and Robin “ropz” Kool.
