Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Release

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is a first-person shooter action game developed by Infinity Ward and released on Oct 28, 2022. It is the 19th installment of the Call of Duty series and is a sequel to the largely popular Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2019. With its release came many game play improvements and the updated IW game engine. The campaign to the game follows along with British SAS members that attempt to capture a terrorist while teaming up with military groups from different countries.

One of the most exciting parts of the release is the new free-to-play battle royal, Warzone 2. It is set to launch November 16, 2022. The previous Warzone had huge success due to its free-to-play aspect and timing of releasing during Covid-19 lockdown. Warzone 2 is expected to have huge success and be one of the most played games in 2022.

As for community feedback, it currently stands at a 9/10 on Steam and an 8/10 on IGN. Many consider it better in every way to the 2019 release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. One review says, “The sequel to Modern Warfare essentially took everything that the game was exceptional at, and somehow made it better in every way. Taking a look at the single-player, Modern Warfare 2 had multiple story settings throughout a fictional world and some of the missions were some of the most memorable in the series.” More reviews are to come as more aspects of the game are released and we hope the reviews will only get better.
