Around the Holidays, many families enjoy having something to drink besides Hot chocolate. Sometimes they like cold drinks. Well, two of the most popular cold holiday drinks are boiled custard and eggnog. Many people believe these two are the same. However they have many differences.

For starters, boiled custard is a holiday drink and tradition from the south. It has a lighter taste, much like a vanilla milkshake, just with a whipped and thicker texture. It’s a very light drink. On the other hand, eggnog has a sweeter taste. Many say it tastes like ice cream in a melted form. Most of the time, eggnog has cinnamon, mace, nutmeg, and vanilla added for flavor.

Overall, eggnog and boiled custard are drinks that many people love enjoying around the holidays. Although many people think they are the same, they have many differences that make them available for different groups of people.
