While I didn’t get a 27 until my junior year, a sophomore has gotten a 28 just two years into her high school career. Angelie Dykes, a very intelligent sophomore that I personally know, has to be one of the smartest sophomores that I have ever met. She obtained the benchmark for ACT as a freshman. She is also in drama club and the National Honor Society and has managed to balance large roles in several plays while also maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She hopes to join Beta Club in the near future. She does charity work outside of school while balancing her STEM, computer science, and AP Human Geography classes. all of which I find to be very difficult classes, even as a senior. Her work ethic is so extraordinary that it even outshines many responsible adults. I am in Drama Club, and in the most recent play, I watched our director and leader of Drama Club Mrs. Reachel praise her constantly for remembering her lines so flawlessly. Angelie was born in California and raised for most of her life in Dyersburg. She has a younger brother who she often helps with his fundraisers as well. She wants to go to Murray State to major in Criminal Justice in hopes of becoming a criminal prosecutor. It is clear that this young teen has a good, giving heart and a bright future.
