This past Saturday, September 21st, our own DCHS Marching Band competed against 20 bands at Bethel University in the Bethel University Renaissance Marching Invitational. They competed against Paragould High School, Gibson County High School, Gallatin High School, Sycamore High School, West Carrol High School,  Lexington High School, Camden High School, Houston County High School, Huntingdon High School, Ripley High School, Trousdale High School, Northeast High School, Waverly Central High School, Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central High School, Liberty Tech High School, Hickman County High School, Scotts Hill High School, and Lewis County High School.

The band competed in class and received a final score of 63.650! This means they scored higher this week than they did previously. The band received the class awards of 1st place color guard, 1st place field commander, 1st place percussion, and class champion! The band also received 3rd place field commander overall.

The band will compete again next week in Trenton, Tennessee at the WTSBOA Marching Festival and Peabody Marching Invitational located at Peabody High School! Come out and support your band!
