The Grinch – The Grinch tells the story of a grumpy man that lives alone with his dog, Max, so he can be away from the town full of people in Whoville. The story is about how the Grinch goes on a mission to steal Christmas from the villagers but the generous holiday spirit of a young girl, named Cindy Lou Who, makes him have a change of heart. 

 

Santa Clause – Scott, who is a divorced dad and an executive for a toy company, has custody of his son, Charlie, on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve night, Scott and Charlie heard something on the roof so they went to look and see what it was. That’s when Scott saw Santa on his roof. After yelling at Santa and scaring him, making him fall off the roof, Scott put on Santa’s coat and both he and Charlie were magically transported to the North Pole. An elf explains to Scott that he must take Santa’s place before the next Christmas arrives. After they got back, Charlie remembered everything that had happened, but nobody believed him when they told him what had happened. Scott thinks he was dreaming but over the next few months, he grows a crazy unexpected amount of weight and a long white beard. That’s when Scott realizes he might not have been dreaming after all and Charlie might have been right the whole time.

 

Home Alone – When the hectic family of Kevin McCallister was preparing for a trip the night before they left, Kevin was tired of having to deal with his big family. After acting out while they were eating dinner, Kevin’s mother made him sleep in the attic by himself. After the McCallisters accidentally leave for the airport without Kevin, he wakes up to an empty house and assumes his wish to have no family has come true. But his excitement sours when he realizes that two con men, known as the wet bandits, plan to rob the McCallister residence and that he alone must protect the family home.

 

The Nightmare Before ChristmasThis movie follows the misadventures of Jack Skellington, Halloweentown’s beloved pumpkin king, who has become bored with the same annual routine of frightening people in his world. When Jack accidentally stumbles on Christmastown, all bright colors and warm spirits, he gets a new lease on life. Jack plots to bring Christmas under his control by kidnapping Santa Claus and taking over the role. But Jack soon discovers even the best-laid plans of mice and skeleton men can go seriously awry.

 

The Christmas Chronicles – Kate Pierce Hatches a plan to capture Santa Clause on Christmas Eve and her brother, Teddy, is forced to watch her while their mother works. When Kate’s plan goes awry, the kids join forces with Santa and his loyal elves to save Christmas before it’s too late. 

 

Santa BuddiesBudderball, B-Dawg, Rosebud, Buddha, and Mudbud return for this fantastic festive journey to the magical world of the North Pole. When Santa Claus and his dog Santa Paws go outside to examine the magical Christmas icicle, they discover that the icicle is melting. If the icicle continues to melt, Christmas will be gone forever. When Puppy Paws, the feisty son of Santa Paws, forgets the true meaning of the season, the Buddies must remind him that Christmas is not about what you get; it’s about what you give. 

 

ElfBuddy was accidentally transported to the North Pole as a baby and raised to adulthood among Santa’s elves. Unable to shake the feeling that he doesn’t fit in, the adult Buddy travels to New York, in full elf uniform, to search for his real father. His real father ends up being Walter Hobbs, a cynical businessman. After a DNA test proves this, Walter reluctantly attempts to start a relationship with the childlike Buddy with increasingly chaotic results.

 

The Polar Express – This movie tells the story of a young boy who, on Christmas Eve, sees a magical train that’s headed for the North Pole stop outside his window and he is invited aboard by its conductor. The boy joins several other children on the train to visit Santa Claus preparing for Christmas. During this ride, he embarks on a journey of self-discovery which shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe.
